south mesa trailhead
South Mesa Trailhead is one of my personal favorite locations in South Boulder thanks to the incredible variety it offers in one session. After a short, easy walk, you'll find open meadows, lush greenery, a charming wooden bridge over a stream, and a historic stone building. It's beautiful year-round, but the fall colors here are especially stunning.
Location: South Boulder, close to Eldorado Canyon

NCAR - Table mesa trail
NCAR (Table Mesa Trailhead) is one of the more dramatic locations in Boulder, offering incredible up-close views of the Flatirons surrounded by forests, meadows, and rocky foothills. With several scenic spots just a short walk from the trailhead, it's an excellent choice for anyone wanting an adventurous mountain feel without committing to a long hike.

South boulder Creek
South Boulder Creek is a peaceful location that offers a beautiful mix of mountain views and open fields. With easy access and a relaxed atmosphere, it's a great choice for couples, families, and portraits looking for a more natural setting away from the crowds. The soft evening light here makes for especially beautiful photos.

flatirons vista
Flatirons Vista is one of my favorite locations for wide-open Colorado scenery. With sweeping views of the Flatirons, rolling grasslands, and peaceful trails, it offers a simple, timeless backdrop that feels both expansive and intimate. It's especially beautiful during golden hour, when the light turns the fields a warm golden color.
Location: South Boulder
Why I Love It
- Stunning panoramic views of the Flatirons
- Wide-open meadows with a classic Colorado feel

- Less crowded than some other Boulder locations

- There is a moderate hike uphill to some of the great spots here
Northwest Denver Metro
Walnut Creek Loop Trail
Walnut Creek Loop Trail is one of the area's hidden gems, located in Superior near Rocky Flats National Wildlife Refuge. This quiet location features wide-open meadows with sweeping mountain views and is almost never crowded, making it a great choice for a peaceful, relaxed session. While the mountains sit a bit farther in the distance than other Boulder locations, the scenery is still stunning—especially during golden hour.

dAVIDSON mESA
Davidson Mesa is a beautiful, easily accessible location in Louisville with some of the best panoramic views of the Flatirons along the Front Range. The open grasslands, winding trails, and expansive mountain backdrop create a timeless Colorado setting that's especially stunning at sunset. It's a great choice for couples, families, maternity, and portrait sessions.

With open fields, shoreline access, and gorgeous sunsets, it offers a relaxed, natural setting that photographs beautifully year-round.

Denver Metro
Hudson gardens
Hudson Gardens is one of the most elegant and colorful locations in the Denver area, featuring beautifully landscaped gardens, winding pathways, charming bridges, and vibrant seasonal flowers. It offers a polished, romantic setting with beautiful scenery in every direction.

Why I Love It
- Beautiful gardens with colorful blooms throughout the season

- Gorgeous from late spring through early fall
Things to Know
- A $50 photography permit fee is required for professional photo sessions
- Because Hudson Gardens is outside my standard travel area, a $100 travel fee will also apply to sessions at this location.
- Some areas may be unavailable during private events or weddings, so sessions should be planned in advance.
union station
Union Station offers a timeless blend of historic architecture and modern city charm in the heart of downtown Denver. With elegant brick buildings, classic train station details, tree-lined streets, and nearby alleyways, it's a fantastic choice for anyone looking for an urban, sophisticated feel with plenty of variety in a small area.

- Because this location is in downtown Denver, a $25 parking fee will be added to your session to cover parking costs.

Studio
Studio Sessions are perfect if you're looking for a clean, timeless, or creative indoor setting without worrying about the weather. There are several beautiful natural light studios throughout the Front Range, offering everything from bright, minimalist spaces to cozy, lifestyle-inspired environments. Studio sessions are ideal for couples, families, maternity, branding, and portraits.
